Psychospiritual Therapy

Bonnie’s transpersonal approach to therapy supports the belief that we are human and spiritual beings interconnected through mind, body and spirit. Under the layers of our wounds and defenses lies our true essence and higher self, and when reclaimed, is very empowering.

We all have our life stories and painful wounding that can keep us from truly accessing our full potential in life. Bonnie believes we can give far too much energy to our sometimes painful pasts, and this can be very damaging when we stay stuck in the “muck” of the past. Re-visiting painful memories over and over, keeps us flooding with negative thoughts that trigger stress hormones that directly contribute to illness and disease on a cellular level.

Bonnie believes that a brief acknowledgement of our wounds is important, so we can see the spiritual significance behind the wounds, re-program our limiting beliefs and bring in a healthy and positive view of who we really are. With 80% of our thoughts being negative, we need to be aware of our thoughts, challenge and shift them to more positive ways of thinking. When we change our thoughts, we change our reality and our brain chemistry! Bonnie supports clients in learning more mindful and present ways of being. She will take you beyond the ego, to more relaxed, altered states of consciousness, and to that connection to your higher self and your spiritual path of purpose. She stresses the importance of nurturing our energetic bodies and listening to how our body speaks to us.

Bonnie’s holistic approach to self care involves homework for clients who need to practice these new ways of being. Her one hour of support is important, but the work you do in taking charge of your life outside of the session is the key to wellness.

Voice Dialoguing

We are the product of our own inner dialogue.

Our inner critic can belittle us, reinforce our failures, set impossible standards of perfection and block us from reaching our full potential. Conducting a voice-based dialogue with our critic and other archetypes like the victim, saboteur and prostitute can help us discern which messages, healthy and unhealthy, we hold on to and rehearse.

Disarming the negative aspects and embracing the positive ones can transform our lives and ways of thinking.

Inner Child Work

Our inner child is a very important ego state and an essential part of our being. This aspect of your personality can carry deep wounds inflicted by our parents and other significant figures in our lives. Our parents did the best they could, however, we are still left with unhealed emotional hurts. Continuing the cycle set up by our parents, we treat our inner child the way our parents treated us.

Bonnie teaches the importance of nurturing and protecting the many aspects of our inner child.

Meet your inner child through guided imagery and “Big-Little” voice dialoguing. Explore issues of shame, guilt, abandonment, anger, fear and hurt. By reclaiming the playful, magical, creative, intuitive spiritual child, you can be inspired to live your dreams as a well-balanced adult.

Body Psychotherapy / Chakra work/ Energy Awareness/Energy Healing

For many people, connecting physical pain with emotional issues and speaking to your pain speeds up the healing process. That knot in your stomach or that pain in the neck take on a new meaning as you learn to be aware of how your body speaks to you. No longer does physical pain have to control you.

Learn about your seven major energy systems, the “chakras” and how connecting with them enables growth, healing and balance in your physical, emotional, mental and spiritual states. Learn how to clear, balance, open and close this sacred system, your spiritual backbone. Bonnie's background in Reiki and Qi gong healing supports her teachings in energy awareness and management.

Advanced Reiki 3-William Lee Rand’s Psychic Surgery

The main reason people are not in optimal health is because they attract or create blocks to the flow of life force energy within themselves. These blocks are usually made of ideas, beliefs and emotions that are opposed to the person’s maximum well being. These negative energy blocks can cause health problems as well as other difficulties in life. Psychic Surgery or aura clearing works with the energy field in and around a person to clear deep blocks on a cellular level. Treatments can give clients a sense of relief, ease and flow, allowing them to live life in optimal health.

Dark Night of the Soul and Spiritual Emergency Work

Extremely difficult life transitions can trigger a state of crisis or what has been called the “dark night of the soul.” Divorce, job loss, death of a loved one and other major issues can make us feel hopeless, lost, disconnected, alienated and out of control. As a spiritual mentor, Bonnie listens to her clients, validate their experience and assure them they are not going insane.

A spiritual emergency can be described as an acute psycho-spiritual crisis that can take a person into extraordinary states of consciousness. Each of the following conditions can be viewed as psychosis in traditional therapy:
  • Visions
  • Frozen, traumatic memories of childhood
  • Chakras being overloaded with energy
  • An upheaval of information from a person’s subconscious

Bonnie works energetically to help ground out and contain the flow of psychic energy that runs through an affected person’s system.

Experiences like these can happen to any committed spiritual seeker and the examples given aren’t intended to create apprehension; rather, they are mentioned to assure all that passage can be made through them, and that the client will emerge at a higher level of transformation.

Intuition Development

As psychic consultant, Bonnie has always known that each of us has the innate ability to tap into our intuition. It is also referred to as our sixth sense, gut feeling, inner knowing, psychic ability etc.

Bonnie takes a special interest in teaching people how to develop and trust their intuition because of its substantial life-enhancing capabilities. Harnessing your inner wisdom can attract more spontaneity and creativity to your life experience. It also allows you to tap into your full potential by enabling you to make decisions from your total being.

Intuition development requires practice and risk-taking but it doesn’t have to be scary. It increases self-trust, self-confidence and will bring you closer to your true essence and life purpose.

Relaxation techniques, Stress Management and Meditation

Stress is the number one cause of illness in our nation. People are racing through life in the chaos, rarely stopping to check in with themselves.

Bonnie was a prime example of a type “A” personality, as she made no time for relaxation, spiritual practice, healthy diet and exercise. She also didn’t practice setting healthy emotional and energetic boundaries. Unfortunately, Bonnie paid a big price for her unhealthy lifestyle. She developed fibromyalgia (a muscular-skeletal disorder characterized by widespread pain and fatigue in the muscles, ligaments and tendons) low grade depression and a sleeping disorder, which took her 10 years to recover from.

Central to Bonnie’s healing process was making herself a top priority in her life. Part of that mission was learning how to:

  • Breathe
  • Follow a nutritious diet
  • Sleep without medication
  • Practice meditation and yoga daily
  • Live with passion and purpose
  • Say no without the guilt
  • Clear chakras and aura. Cut negative energetic cords

Bonnie’s focus on helping her client’s to live a consciously healthy life style is a key to their healing.

Shadow Work

The phrase “shadow work” refers to the exploration of the negative aspects of our personalities. It doesn’t necessarily mean doom and gloom - there is light at the end of this tunnel. The work can be unpleasant, but the accompanying pain provides an incentive to do our emotional work and understand ourselves better.

Our shadow contains all of our disowned, despised, repressed feelings and traits. It’s about the losses we never grieved, the anger we never expressed, our addictions, family secrets and sub-personalities that drive us. Shame is often at the core of such sentiments.

Whenever we get stuck, lie, run, hide, obsess, deny, project or try to control, we are in our shadow. The psychological pioneer, Carl Jung, once said, “One does not become enlightened by imagining figures of light, but by making the darkness conscious.” Shadow work is the catalyst for change and transformation.

Bereavement

All of us will experience the loss of a loved one at some time in our life; we face our inevitable passing as well. The grieving process and the reality of death can be frightening and overwhelming. Bonnie support people by teaching them to view death and dying as a natural part of our life cycle and a life passage undeserving of fear and trepidation.

Serious illness can both awaken and teach us to let go of our fears. Bonnie’s question to you is, “If you had but one year to live, how would you live it? This inquiry changed B life and brought a heightened awareness of the importance of living in the moment and expressing gratitude each and every day.

An old proverb states: “Some people live as though they will never die, and some people die as though they have never lived.” Which of these statements describes you?

Wayne Dyer quotes “Don’t die with the music still in you”.

Anxiety, Depression and Low Self-Esteem

Anxiety and depression can run your life and keep you stuck. The repetitive negative self-talk of fears and doubts will act to compromise your immune system and make you ill.

Bonnie’s Cognitive Behavioral approach can change your life. She offers concrete and effective means of analyzing negative and irrational thinking patterns and support the development of versatile coping strategies. Take back your power and take charge of your destiny!

Parenting Support

As a counselor who has worked with families and children in the school system,Bonnie can offer sound advice on how you can become more effective parents. Working together as a two-parent team or as a single parent can be challenging. You can never have too many child management strategies up your sleeve.

See your child in a positive light and teach them how to think, not what to think. Choose your battles wisely, and step out of the nagging role. Explore the way you were raised and reflect on how your parenting style reflects your personal childhood experiences.

Breaking unhealthy family patterns and healing your own emotional and spiritual wounds can allow you to become a more loving and patient parent.

Bonnie also supports parents in raising their intuitive children. Children who grow up trusting their intuition will be more grounded, confident adults with a sense of purpose and inner peace.

The Dali Lama said if we teach every five year old to meditate on compassion for one hour a week and throughout their childhood, within one generation, we would no longer have war and hatred in the world. Top
